abstract expressionism

this beautiful, vibrant young woman lost her life to cancer before her youngest boy turned two. my drawing is based on two photos that were shared on ‘amy’s army’ fb page. amy’s three boys are standing on a bench that was erected in her memory on a path that they often walked along as a family.

marat deathmask-final image

sketched this for a friend’s upcoming project focussing on this French revolutionary.

love the expression on marat’s face.  that little smirk in his mouth gives him an air

of contentment not of death!
